Why Mediate?

Filing a lawsuit and litigating through the court system can take years of your time and tens of thousands of dollars of your money. You can expect several court appearances, and, most likely, depositions under oath, creating additional expenses of court reporters and transcripts which can cost several thousand dollars and hours or days away from your work or family. By mediating early, you drastically reduce the case time and expense.

Mediation employs a problem-solving approach for anyone in conflict that gets to the root of the issues among the parties. Bringing all parties together with a trained mediator provides a neutral and confidential setting where the parties can openly discuss their views on the underlying dispute. Better communication can help lead to mutually satisfactory resolutions.

One or more of our trained and certified mediators will assist you with your conflict to reach a voluntary, mutually beneficial resolution. Mediation can resolve all issues important to the parties, not just the underlying legal dispute.

Once you file a lawsuit or someone sues you, your case is a matter of public record. By filing suit, the fact that you are in litigation is available to the news media, your neighbors and friends, creditors, and prospective employers. Mediation prior to litigation is private and confidential.

Mediation takes much less time, money and stress than a lawsuit. The outcome of litigation, and in particular, trial by jury, is uncertain! Mediation avoids the uncertainty of a judicial outcome.
